Welcome to Venture Out Nature Hubs

At our Venture Out Nature Hubs, we believe that healthy relationships with nature and the community are essential to living well. However, for many older adults, people living with dementia, and their care partners, life events may cause a disconnect, resulting in experiences of isolation, poorer quality of life and wellbeing

That’s why we have come together as a community to create Venture Out Nature Hubs. The project aims to help everyone, and especially people living with dementia and their care partners, to reconnect by bringing everyone together in nature and the outdoors with the aim of increasing wellbeing, quality of life and reducing social isolation.

What is a Nature Hub?

Nature Hubs are welcoming, dementia-inclusive outdoor spaces designed for everyone. Located in a variety of community green spaces, our hubs offer safe, supportive environments where people can connect with nature and each other. Whether you’re living with dementia, caring for someone who is, a dementia advocate, a support worker, a student, a volunteer or a community member, you’ll find a place to belong at a Nature Hub.

How Can You Get Involved?

This website is your guide to the Venture Out Nature Hubs project. Here, you can:
